Muslim DEIN is an organization of Muslims, their families, and friends who value working within and across our community to promote inclusivity and Islamic values.

Our Mission

The primary mission of Muslim DEIN is to unite Muslims who live or work near or in Davis, Yolo County California to promote positive religious, civic and community engagement, interfaith relations, and deeper understanding of Islam in order to contribute to the inclusivity of Davis, Yolo County, California, and beyond.

What is Muslim DEIN

We are a “third space” between a  religious institution and social organization: we do not have a physical building (yet); rather we are a great group of organizers, we hold events and programs in private and public spaces, and we actively participate in community.

What We’ve Achieved

  • Four public Ramadan Iftar Dinners since 2022 for the Yolo County Community with 200+ attendees

  • Two Community EID (end of Ramadan) Picnics since 2022 for Yolo County Community

  • Online Ramadan Celebration in 2020

  • Held Community Outdoor Prayer in Central Park 2017

  • Active participants in interfaith events and programs in Yolo County.

  • Held “Meet a Muslim” programs at library.

  • Donate time and money to local charitable causes.

  • Established a “New Muslim” support network
